GTA Forums user alloc80r, who has previously leaked the game’s supposed achievement art and achievement lists for each of the remastered titles, claims to have found a snippet of text about the game that Rockstar hasn’t released to the public, which mentions upgraded lighting, improved textures, and a GTA 5-style control system.
“Three iconic cities, three epic stories,” reads the forum post. “Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail.”
Of course, it’s worth taking this new information with a pinch of salt until Rockstar officially gives us a rundown of the new features included with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition. Since the developer’s initial announcement, we haven’t heard anything official on the game, just rumours.
